彼らの曲はまるで神話に登場するセイレーンの歌のよう。信じられないくらい美しく、聴く者をたちまち虜にしてしまう魔法を持っている。自制心を失うことを恐れる必要はまったくない。ただ彼らの音の海に飛び込んで、泳いでしまえばいい！
Lusts are formed by Andy and James, the siblings came from the Midlands. The entire sounds of the 2 guys never ever make us bored, it’s surprisingly deep and full of layers. We appreciate Andy’s blessed voice but moreover, his vocal technique is refined. It means, each sound that comes from his mouth is effectively fantastic. Especially, the sounds of “-s”, “-th” and “-z” are fascinating! James’ drumming is sharp but at the same time, it resonates. This smart and rhythmical drumming is sporty, makes us excited and feel good. And we cannot ignore his mellow back chorus! It’s misty and mystic enough to make you hypnotised. Yes, these are the reasons why they don’t need another bassist or guitarist on the stage. Their voices are as musical as (or better than) instruments!
Lusts released their first album from 1965 Records in October 2015. Listening to their danceable songs, you’ll feel like you’ve gatecrashed the world of the movie “24 Hour Party People”. We highly recommend their music to listeners who die to live in the 80’s, when people felt at one with live music more than any other era. But their music is not the complete copy of the past. Their songs are more vibrant, sparkling and don’t have the gloomy atmosphere of the end of a century. Blow kisses from Greek Goddesses, daydreams under the trees of cherry blossoms, a birthday cake with lighted candles and a noble cat with grey fluffy hair. Their music’s got a taste of the 80’s but it’s telling us our days are full of sweet celebration!
They’ve got a song called “Illuminations” (it’s also the album title) but themselves are the luminaries of the latest UK indie music scene!
Lustsはイギリス Midlands（中部地方）出身の兄弟、AndyとJamesによって結成されたバンド。ステージに立つのは2人だけとは言え、彼らの音は驚くほどに深く、何層にも重なっており、物足りなさを感じることは決してない。Andyの恵まれた歌声はもとより、彼の発声方法がとても卓越している。彼の口から出てくる一音一音が息を呑むほど綺麗で、効果的に曲を演出している。特に、「ス」や「ズ」と言った音が悩ましいほど美！Jamesのドラムはシャープな印象を与えると同時に、誇らしげに響き渡る。このスマートでリズム感抜群のドラムはまるでスポーツ選手のよう、興奮と同時に納得の心地よさを与えてくれる。そして語らずにはいられないのが、Jamesの芳醇なバックコーラス！霧がかっていて神秘的で、幻想的。そう、彼らが他のギタリストやベーシストなしで上等のステージを披露できる理由は前述の通り。彼らの声は楽器と同じくらい（もしくは、それ以上に）音楽的。
Lustsは2015年10月に1965 Recordsからファースト・アルバムをリリースした。彼らのダンサブルな曲を聴くと、ドキュメンタリー映画 “24 Hour Party People” の世界に飛び込んでしまったかのような感覚に陥る。人々がライブ音楽と最高に一体となっていた80年代ミュージックのファンに、彼らの曲をおすすめしたい。しかし、彼らの音楽は決して80年代の単純なコピーではない。彼らの音はもっと躍動的で、輝きに満ちており、世紀末を感じさせる欝々とした雰囲気がない。女神の投げキッス、桜の木の下で見る白昼夢、ろうそくを立てたバースデーケーキ、ふわふわしたグレー色の毛の高貴な猫。彼らの音楽は80年代のテイストを持っているが、私たちの今の日常が甘美な祝福で溢れていることに気付かせてくれる！
