October Drift were formed by four boys in South England but they’ve been refined in North England such as Sheffield where they’re part of the vivid and raw music live scene. Their live show really blows minds! The lead guitarist Dan and bassist Biz move across the stage like the wind and storm! Chris’ drums are very strong and sturdy, like a heavy metal tank, holding everything together. And then in the middle of this dramatic storm or war, is the singer Kiran, with his low, booming voice. His voice can be strong and aggressive, or gentle and smooth. Kiran often comes down from the stage and strolls among the audience, but the situation doesn’t go too crazy. We think it’s because his voice is full of dignity.
Besides all of this, the thing that makes October Drift so interesting are their insightful lyrics. For example, “I think I’m losing my touch, In thin October sunlight I don’t care too much, I think I’m losing my love, In thin October sunlight brush strokes from above.” (From “Losing My Touch”) They use simple words that speak with great meaning. They will tickle your brain and excite your imagination. They have created a whole world with their music, and they intrigue us by leaving the clues for us to follow.

October Drift は南イングランド出身の4人の青年で構成されたバンドだが、音楽シーンがもっと熱く生々しいシェフィールドといった北イングランドでライブ経験を積んできた。彼らのライブはとにかくぶっとんでいる。リードギタリストのDanとベーシストのBizがステージ上で激しく動く姿はまるで風神と雷神！Chrisのドラムは戦車のように頑丈で強く、すべてを支えている。そしてこの荒れ狂う嵐、あるいは激しい戦場の中心に立つのが、Kiran、低く轟く声をもったシンガー。彼の声は強く、牙を剥き出しているようでもあるし、優しく滑らかでもある。Kiranは度々ステージから降りてきて、観客の間をうろつくが、さほどパニックな状況を生まないのは彼の声が気品に満ちているからだろう。
